Project: In a proactive stewardship of environmental issues, the client desired to replace existing piping. Facility use changes required a redesign of fuel system controls, and addition of supply piping to feed an adjacent Boeing aircraft test facility.

Challenge: Modifications to existing systems can oftentimes create a greater challenge than a complete rebuild. However, if effectively implemented, properly designed modifications to systems usually represent a significant cost savings to the owner. The goal was to maintain as much of the existing equipment and installation yet greatly expand the system capabilities and incorporate updated materials and methods to meet current regulatory requirements.

MJK Solution: Working with site personnel, MJK identified the unique needs desired for the site, and designed a system which not only exceeded expectations, but priced out well within the client’s budget. Expansion of this system created a relationship for our client with a neighboring business, advancing our clients business, met current regulatory requirements, and provided a system which enables our client greater control and management of their fuel supplies.
